Died August 3, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
21, of Ambrose, Ga.; assigned to the 648th Engineer Battalion, 48th Infantry Brigade, Georgia Army National Guard, Statesboro, Ga.; killed Aug. 3 when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near the armored personnel carrier in which he was riding in Baghdad.

    He wasn’t riding in a personnel carrier. He was at a security check point and a car pulled up and detonated….

    We never met this young man, but we have met hundreds like him. our heart and prayers go out to his family. May the lord watch over him and the thousands more he has called home to guard the gates of heaven. God bless you and your family.
