The AFWMF is pleased to announce that Troy Grant of Gunny’s Place along with mascot Gunny have joined our advisory board. Troy will be helping the AFWMF with exposure of the project and mission. Troy and Gunny have helped many other organizations gain exposure and support. We are thrilled to have them helping us.
Troy Grant severed as a Marine from 83 – 89. During that time he traveled a lot and saw a many things that gave him whole new perspective on life. He now tries to help and serve in a different way. He started an organization called Gunny’s Place, which provides support to other charitable organizations. “We typically do this via a Mascot service which started as a joke between me and one of the Staff Sargent’s on the Toys for Tots drive, a couple years back. As a Marine there has always been a spot in my heart for Bulldogs. They are the only dog that is as ugly and stubborn as the rest of us Marines.” Our organization supports charities by helping to get the word out and gain exposure for projects and programs. We do not collect funds we jut direct donors to the charities. Gunny’s Place is currently actively supporting are as follows; American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation, US Marine Reserves Toys for Tots, Bulldog Club of Utah second Hand dogs rescue, Marine Corps League, and Numerous other dog rescue Organizations. They run an “Olde English Bulldogge Kennel, which helps us pay to keep Gunny in Uniform. “Our theory is we try and leave things a little better than when we got there. There is one face prevalent in all we do and that is Gunny. Please visit www.gunnysplace.com to learn more.
