Red Amy McCann has lived most of her life in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. She attended college studying business and accounting. After over 10 years as a tax accountant, she switched to a management career with a convenience store chain. She stated, “In 2006 I was in a very low place in my life, ready to give up, when a friend suggested I attend church with her on Mother’s Day. The pastor told a story, rather than giving a sermon. The story was of her Mother’s Day the year prior. She lost her son in Iraq. She told us about what an amazing young man he had been, and the struggle she goes thru after losing him to the war. I walked out of church that day a different person. Her story of her son touched me. I felt I knew him, and he was there for me. As time went on I got to know this woman very well, and learned so much about her son. I felt as if I really knew him. I became dedicated to supporting the troops and even more importantly, the fallen and their families.”
In 2009 she and her husband were introduced to PGR and they knew this was meant for them. Since then she has become friends and a constant support to many local and nationwide, Gold Star Mothers and other GS family members. “I am excited to be a part of AFWMF because I truly feel that helping to honor our fallen is what I am meant to do, and this will give me the ultimate opportunity to do so!” She has volunteered at the Healing Fields every year. “This is an even bigger way for me to show my gratitude and appreciation.”
Fuzzy Manning is the Founder & CEO of PTS Treatment and the creator of Integrative Trauma Care. He is also an Alternative Specialist, a radio show host, an author, and a speaker. He is a Navy veteran who served in Vietnam and experienced Post Traumatic Stress (PTS). He pursued alternative treatment in the forms of Ayurveda, Chinese, and Aboriginal Medicine to mend his invisible wounds. He continues to apply the principles of Integrative Trauma Care in his daily life and in the lives of his clients. He totally believes in his tagline, “When Your Life Matters, We Listen!”
Integrative Trauma Care was created by PTS Treatment as a means to bring together Traditional and Alternative Trauma Care to treat the invisible wounds of female/male veterans and their families. We treat individuals with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Combat Stress, and Second-Hand Trauma. We use One-Unity Therapy to treat veterans and their immediate family members together as a single unit. Integrative Trauma Care provides access to cutting-edge solutions, up-to-date research, new technology, and ancient wisdom to restore quality of life and optimum mental and physical health. The extent of physical and mental trauma damage can’t be assessed or treated by a single therapy or session.
Integrative Trauma Care requires an open-minded approach to identify the causes of both the visible and invisible cellular damage from traumas, provide multiple solutions to resolve the traumas and prevent reoccurrence, track the success/failure of the treatment process, and offer effective and affordable solutions despite gender, age, language, ethnicity, or location.
He currently practices Integrative Trauma Care seeing clients via video calling!
R.E.S.P.O.N.D. Warrior Reintegration™ was created by PTS Treatment to enable warriors to adapt their military experience to build inclusive teams to successfully reintegrate into their families and civilian communities. We realize that some warriors will be returning with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), missing limbs, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), blindness, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), injuries, Combat Stress, or invisible wounds. Warriors, their families, and civilian communities may not be prepared for a homecoming and the reintegration process. There are some stigmas and limiting beliefs that warriors and members of the community are holding onto that may prevent the development of strong inclusive teams and neighborhoods. A common language and collaborative approach is essential if our warriors and communities are to survive! There is “NO Try”! We need to get it right; there are “NO Second Chances”!
Warriors (veterans) are struggling with their reintegration into their families and civilian communities. It’s affecting their family life, employment, bank account, and community support. We help warriors and their families to create “Re-Entry Survival Teams” by engaging the warrior’s military experience to contribute to their families and create safe, friendly, and diverse Organic Communities. Once the teams are operating successfully, we help move them from Survival to Prosperity! “Your re-entry into civilian life matters!”

He started an organization called Gunny’s Place, which provides support to other charitable organizations. “We typically do this via a Mascot service which started as a joke between me and one of the Staff Sargent’s on the Toys for Tots drive, a couple years back. As a Marine there has always been a spot in my heart for Bulldogs. They are the only dog that is as ugly and stubborn as the rest of us Marines.” Our organization supports charities by helping to get the word out and gain exposure for projects and programs. We do not collect funds we jut direct donors to the charities. Gunny’s Place is currently actively supporting are as follows; American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation, US Marine Reserves Toys for Tots, Bulldog Club of Utah second Hand dogs rescue, Marine Corps League, and Numerous other dog rescue Organizations. They run an “Olde English Bulldogge Kennel, which helps us pay to keep Gunny in Uniform. “Our theory is we try and leave things a little better than when we got there. There is one face prevalent in all we do and that is Gunny. Please visit www.GunnysPlace.com to learn more.
